Bereishit Rabbah teaches us that God created and destroyed many worlds before allowing our world to stand. In this session, we'll explore a midrash from Dirshuni, a collection of modern midrashim written by women, which delves into God's emotional experience of what it's like when the worlds that one holds dear collapse around us. We'll ask questions like: how do we face the loss of destruction, where do we turn for support, and how do we begin again?
