Every Day is Purim

I don’t know who taught me the Torah of Purim. It was reported by a fellow reveler I’d never seen before (nor since), delivered with prophetic force: “Everybody knows that the only day that isn’t Purim—is Purim.” I’ve checked—and it’s not true. Almost no one knows that the only day that isn’t Purim is Purim. In fact, most people don’t even know what you mean when you ask them if they know that. And at the same time, it’s God’s honest truth, about Purim and about every other day of our lives.
