Agnosticism and Atheism as a Starting-Point for Jewish Life

What can we see if we look the major concepts of Jewish thought straight in the eye - without either distraction or the blinders of how they "ought" to take shape? In this course, we'll work to develop and ground - both philosophically and in Torah - new-old approaches to each area. Our goal will be not only to learn a great deal of bracing Torah, but also to take our own yearnings and doubts seriously, as the seeds of our Jewish and human lives.
