A World of Words

Rabbi Avi Strausberg
Date and Time
10:00 - 10:45 AM Eastern
Jan 16-Feb 20 2024

Words have the power to create and destroy worlds. In this course, we will explore the impact of language from a number of different perspectives, including: the power to name, the power to create, and the power to harm as we seek to understand the impact of our words and the care with which we must choose them. We'll turn to sources from the worlds of Hasidut, Musar, Midrash and modern poetry as we look to the words of others to help uncover the impact of our own.

Learning Mode: Participatory: This class will have significant opportunities for class discussion. Participants are strongly encouraged to have their cameras on and to actively participate.  The class will be recorded, but recordings will only be shared by request, for those wishing to catch up on missed classes.
