Rabbi Keilah Lebell
Director of Project Zug
Rabbi Keilah Lebell, Hadar's Director of Project Zug, is on a mission to transform lives through the profound power of one-on-one (havruta) learning. She is passionately dedicated to guiding individuals, communities, and organizations toward cultivating meaning, joy, and connection through this time-honored, Jewish learning method. Rabbi Lebell's own Torah journey began at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, where she not only discovered her passion for traditional text study but also met her husband, Rabbi Sam Rotenberg. Before Hadar, Rabbi Lebell served as Assistant Rabbi and Jewish Emergent Network Rabbinic Fellow at IKAR in Los Angeles, where she oversaw Hesed (pastoral and community care). She holds rabbinic ordination from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, studied Hebrew intensively at Middlebury College and Hebrew University, and earned her Bachelors from St. John's College, Santa Fe, a distinctive "Great Books" liberal arts program. She, Sam and their three children, Meir, Della and Orly, live in Chattanooga, TN.
