Hadar's NYC Home

Hadar’s Yeshiva in New York City, located at 210 W. 93rd Street, is the anchor of our learning and prayer community. We hope to welcome you for one of the many ongoing learning or tefillah opportunities in our beit midrash.

The Hadar Institute is a long-term tenant of Congregation Shaare Zedek and Kehilat Hadar, which own and operate the building. Shaare Zedek, established in 1837, is the third oldest synagogue in New York City. Kehilat Hadar is an independent minyan that was founded in 2001.

Kehilat Hadar and the Hadar Institute are distinct institutions with separate funding and governance structures.

In 2019, Shaare Zedek and Kehilat Hadar embarked on a phased integration of the two communities. Today, they share the space at 210 W. 93rd Street for Shabbat services, holidays, and other programs.

We are delighted to be in community with these two institutions, contributing to vibrant, thriving egalitarian Jewish life, learning, and practice on the Upper West Side.
