Director of Project Zug

We seek a full-time Director of Project Zug  to oversee the strategy, vision, and growth of Project Zug, Hadar’s havruta learning program. Project Zug empowers Jews to take ownership over their learning through one-on-one havruta learning. Project Zug gives direct access to curated high quality Torah resources, and a guided learning framework that enables Jews to build deep connections to each other and to our tradition. 

We seek an entrepreneurial, energetic, and results oriented professional with educational vision to strengthen and expand Project Zug’s work. Project Zug is poised for growth  and the Director will lead the team through creative visioning of new strategies to grow Zug into a program that will make a major impact on the Jewish learning landscape. This person will report into our Sr. Director of Engagement, and is ideally located in New York City, however strong remote applicants will be considered.

Responsibilities: 

  • Hold overall vision for growth and goals of Project Zug
  • Content Development
    • Oversee strategy for content development working closely with Hadar’s Content department and faculty 
    • Project manager for handout design and video creation
  • Partnership Management
    • Develop and maintain thriving partnerships with congregations, institutions and organizations to expand Zug’s reach.
  • Program Management
    • Set and manage learning cycle timelines and program priorities for Project Zug 
    • Oversee design and launch of new Project Zug website 
    • Plan and oversee ongoing Project Zug evaluation to steer strategy
  • Recruitment
    • Drive effort to set and meet user and partnership goals, working closely with Hadar's engagement and communications teams
  • Supervise part-time Project Zug Coordinator
  • Partner with Hadar’s Development team to fundraise for Project Zug from individual donors and foundations
    • Set and meet development targets (number of donors, dollars raised)
    • Liaise with Hadar’s grant-writing team to garner foundation support

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of work experience
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial in spirit. Driven to execute projects from start to finish
  • Is a relationship builder with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with and among a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Comfortable learning new digital platforms 
  • Highly organized and responsible, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Friendly and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating Excel and Google spreadsheets
  • Ability to utilize data management systems effectively including but not limited to Salesforce, Google Analytics
  • Has a flexible and collaborative spirit
  • An education or rabbinic degree is welcome but not required

Salary

The salary range for this position is $70K-$80K.
